WeTech

Women Enhancing Technology (WeTech) is a 2013 Clinton Global Initiative Commitment to Action that was launched by former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton. (View the announcement here).

WeTech is a consortium of dedicated partners that has joined the Institute of International Education (IIE) to design and support a series of innovative activities to provide training, build networks and offer professional opportunities. WeTech helps women and girls enter and succeed in technology careers, with the goal of enhancing women’s talent and skills needed to fuel technological and economic growth.

Through its Center for Women’s Leadership Initiatives, IIE provides opportunities for women worldwide to participate in cutting‐edge training, professional development and exchange programs and pursue higher education. Through these programs, women develop and join networks of peers, mentors and experts and serve as effective leaders in the public and private sectors around the world.

GetReady (led by Nathalie Tekam) is one of the 17 projects selected in Africa by WeTech to receive a WeTech Seed Fund Grant, with the generous support of lead partner Google. Read the press release...
